I have always liked sports – aerobics, fitness classes or simply jogging in the park. Until the day I have understood I want to have not only a perfect body, but also to find the harmony between my mind, body and soul at the same moment. That’s why yoga came into my daily life not by accident but truly consciously.
My first yoga class was truly exciting and even a little bit thrilling. I remember that day I came to studio for the first time. I was welcomed by smell of incense, relaxing music and small but at the same time cozy hall. My eyes caught on beautiful inside interior details and I thought for myself that I will stay here for a very long time. Indian-inspired interior with lots of Hindu religion symbols, candles, paints made my heart to feel like thousands miles away from here.
After my firsts 2 hours of yoga exercises I felt completely relaxed and calm. I have understood how it’s important to create the harmonized atmosphere with music, scents and colors for the whole amazing feeling while doing yoga.
On my mind, yoga can’t be treated like sports or only meditation. I think it’s a lifestyle, the wonderful time for your soul, body and mind in general.
Yoga classes have increased in popularity so fast these few years but now I understand why. Of course, it depends on what type of yoga people choose but the few benefits I can indentify clearly:
- you feel more relaxed, calmed and concentrated;
- it helps to love your body and yourself because yoga is not competitive;
- it increases body flexibility and energy;
- • it helps you to be here and now (be on the moment);
- • you don’t feel so much stress ( or maybe you simply change your attitude to situations);
And the most important – it gives you time to reconnect with your body and soul…
I’ve been joining yoga for more than one year and I think it’s one of the best choices I’ve done.
One of the best things is to know you can make your daily life better and happier in all ways.
And that’s why I still keep falling in love with yoga …
