On first days of June huge group of youth workers from Lithuania, Italy, Serbia, Moldova, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Greece, Hungary went to the small city Sfantu Gheorghe for Erasmus+ project ”Think outside the box”. The overall aim of this project was to train youth workers, youth leaders to be capable for preparing, implementing, and evaluating workshops on cultural diversity in local level and within youth exchanges as part of preventing radicalization of young people.
The project lasted for 7 intensive days. All methods have been selected regarding Non-Formal Education and innovative Teaching Methods, e.g. individual work, pair work, organisational work, mixed group work, field activity, light theatre method, theatre of oppressed, Dixit card exercise, montages, interviews, statutes, debate, aquarium discussion, etc. E-booklet on youth work goes intercultural for public use.
I believe that this project implemented not only the basic aim of the project, but also provided youth workers real intercultural experience in communicating with foreigners, developed foreign language skills and communicating skills. It was also a wonderful experience to learn new non-formal education methods, try them out for yourself.
I am sure that this experience was very important for every participant and I wish everyone to experience it.
