The founder of the Academy of Citizenship Education participated in the training of the Erasmus+ (www.erasmus-plius.lt) project “Raising young changemakers”, which took place in 4-11 November 2022, in the town of Postojna (Slovenia).
This is a project that solves the problem of youth unemployment and focused on the professional development of youth workers and the development of quality work with youth.

The training aimed to help representatives of different countries working with youth to develop their professional competencies and become more productive, creative and innovative. Representatives of seven countries from Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Italy, Latvia and Lithuania were encouraged to exchange knowledge about good practices in youth work related to promoting entrepreneurship and using digital tools for youth work.
The Erasmus+ project was a great opportunity to improve qualifications, acquire competencies needed for non-formal education, work in a team, develop leadership and public speaking skills, English language, expand competencies of initiative and creativity, communication, cognition and ability to learn, visit Slovenia and get to know the culture of other countries. Cultural evenings were included in the program, during which representatives of each country presented their country, traditional dishes and drinks, organized with quizzes or even dances. One day was dedicated to an exploring around Slovenia, so we managed to visit a wonderful nature reserve, the longest in the world open to the public – the Postojna cave, which is as long as 5.3 km, and a train takes you to it, the impressively beautiful Predjama Castle and the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana.

Erasmus+ is a support program of the European Union that provides learning and development opportunities for people of various ages, statuses, and professions, as well as the opportunity for various organizations, institutions, and institutions to implement projects that meet the criteria of the program. The project partner in Lithuania – Innovation Office (www.inovacijubiuras.lt) – an organization that promotes the development of innovations, aims to create an environment favorable to innovations, spread innovative ideas, motivate innovators to act actively, form an innovative society, and the Academy of Civic Education is a civic organization that loves its country, a team of volunteers organizing events on the topic of citizenship education, contributing to the creation of a better future for all.
