From November 28th till December 6th group of young inspired people participated in Erasmus+ project „Set your business now”. We went to a small, very beautiful and cozy village Murzasichle (Poland). It’s a skiing resort, so the environment was amazing! 42 people from Lithuania, Slovakia and Poland communicated, worked and learned together in order to extend their point of view, to make friend for life and of course to get to know something new about setting new businesses.
From the begging of the project it was clear that these 10 days will become unforgettable. Lithuanian group bonded very quickly and dominated the project. But we didn’t forget the real reason we came. The activities were very inspiring and though us much. Lithuanians always tried to express their opinion, to participate, don’t be late and give themselves all in.
Before the beginning of our trip all groups got a task to prepare a presentation about their country. It was quite hard to come up with something that would be interesting, original, fun but also would show the wonderful side of our beloved Lithuania. At that point we didn’t know each other so this task was way harder that it looked at first. After few days of tense conversations we came to a solution that we will make some Lithuanian dishes, teach them some traditional dances, show a movie and make a presentation. Of course we bought souvenirs, a rubber band with Lithuanians name written on it, so that they could remember us for a longer period of time.
When we met each other we improved our ideas and made Lithuanians cultural evening very entertaining. One of our group members had traditional Lithuanian robes so it definitely made the atmosphere more patriotic. Also, we made fried bread with cheese, pancakes out of potatoes, we brought Lithuanian kvass, sloth (it’s cookies and chocolate mixture).
As I mention before, we made incredible relationships with everyone, especially with the polish group. I asked my friend from Poland to tell me her opinion about Lithuanians. I was very surprised with what she wrote to me.
“Hi, I’m Natalia and I’m from Poland. My first thought about the Lithuanian group was like “Wow! They seem like they know each other very well!” I would have never thought that they met only in this project. It seemed like they were really good friends. I was surprised when they told me differently. One of the best things was that it was really easy to communicate and collaborate with Lithuanians, they were sociable and open minded. It was a nice surprise when I noticed that two girls spoke polish, so it was a great start to get to know them.
Our evening meetings were mostly Polish-Lithuanian and because of Lithuanians I haven’t had enough sleep! Every night we stayed until dawn partying or just playing cards and talking.
It was really hard to say goodbye to everyone. I never thought that it is possible to make these kind of friends in such a short period of time. “
This project was a great opportunity to learn tolerance, understanding, cooperation and developing ideas of setting new businesses!
