Superb food, friends, mountains, creativity, and Polish music – all of this, and more, was part of a project in the pearl of southern Poland, Poronin. I am very happy that I had the opportunity to spend a week of my summer with the Erasmus+ project with new friends from Poland and Latvia. Although the COVID-19 pandemic reduced the number of participants, it did not in any way reduce the good mood of the remaining participants.
The aim of the project was to reduce the social exclusion of deaf people, so the time spent on the project helped to understand the problems of the deaf. Together, we came up with ideas on how we could make their lives easier and get to know each other at the same time: by playing games, completing assigned tasks, and simply spending time together.
The project left an impression on the uniqueness of Poland’s mountains, valleys, and rivers, which every state can envy. Every cultural evening brought something unique and exclusive. Every country, including us, has left itself in each of us, so I am very happy and grateful for Erasmus + for the opportunity to get to know ourselves and others.
