My name is Liutauras, I am 15 years old and I participated in Erasmus+ program called “European Detectives” which took place in Poland, Poronin, from 18 to 24 of November. There were 31 participants from three different countries: Bulgaria, Poland and my home country – Lithuania.
There were people aged from 15 to 19 years old, leaders excluded. And since I am 15 years old, I was the youngest person there. But it didn’t matter because everyone were super friendly, supportive and tolerant – they accepted each other as a friend immediately.
The project was about lots of things, but mainly about the structure of Europe. Every single day we had some kind of exercise that required teamwork or communication with another person, usually from another country. Most of those exercises were about Europe or its politics. For example, we had a task in which we got positions in politics. Our task was to agree or disagree with the idea of building a Mosque in town and we had to submit a reason on why we think that way. At the end everyone had to vote: agree or disagree. And almost everyone agreed.
Even though it was short I really enjoyed participating in this project, meeting new people, learning more about Europe, its politics and structure. I really hope to come back there next year and get to know even more people, and Europe in general. I will never forget the experience and the fun I had in this project.
