After a workshop we had some free time until dinner. As Poronin is a town full of hills, we decided to use these two free hours to climb up a hill. I was in Poronin before, so I already knew the comfortable way to the hill. Everyone who is interested in climbing and trekking gathered in the hall and we ‘hit the road’. Our group included 7 Lithuanians and 2 Slovaks. Most of ‘Act on it!’ participants were taking a nap in this time so our trekking group was not very big.
We reached the hill very easily. Climbing was also not hard as we were chatting all the way. All group was hurrying because sun was setting and we all wanted to watch the beautiful view from the high hill. When we were halfway to the top, we decided to take a break. We rested for a while and took some photos. The view was amazing. After a break all group continued the trip. It was quite dark already but everyone was excited about reaching the top. While walking, we were singing various songs all together. On the top of the hill there was some snow so we started a snow fight.
Everyone was so happy to be here all together in this beautiful place. We did a group hug and promised to always remember this moment.
When we were going back, we were already a bit late for the dinner. We reached the street easily but then the group’s paths separated. Some people wanted to go back the same way as we came and we wanted to go the other way, to explore the town more. We also thought that it will be funnier. So both groups decided to race.
After almost getting lost we finally reached our house and won the race. It was frightening but at the same time funny and beautiful experience because everyone was taking care of each other and we all became even closer friends than before.
