The Erasmus+ project “Augmented Reality in Environmental Education” uses modern technologies for engaging and interesting education for young people on the topic of ecology, which is very important today. The project partners from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, in pursuit of interactive education, developed key products and an attractive way of learning – using interactive posters and an augmented reality app to stimulate young people’s interest in environmental and ecological topics.
Innovation Office is the partner of the Erasmus + project “Augmented Reality in Environmental Education” in Lithuania.
During the project, 15 interactive posters were created, which can be scanned to watch specially prepared videos on the theme of the poster. The posters will be available in various schools or youth organizations.
In order to encourage the inclusion of the posters of this project in the daily process of youth education in Lithuania, two events were organized for youth educators and youth, with speakers: Giedrius Bučas from Creative Corner 360, Austė Juozapaitytė from Live Green, Justina Vyšniauskaitė as representative of the mobile app “Ailuna”, Milda Koženiauskaitė from Knowledge Code, who presented various topics of sustainability, ecology, environmental protection, encouraging participants to change their habits to have a clean environment and understand how each of us can contribute to a greener environment development
During both events, participants were introduced to the project and its results. After all the speakers’ speeches, creative workshops took place, during which the participants themselves became involved in the development and application of augmented reality programs for education. Young people and youth educators were also able to try out the iSeeApp mobile app and interactive educational posters themselves.
The Erasmus + project “Augmented Reality in Environmental Education” aims to integrate new technologies for sustainability and ecology into youth education and to stimulate interest in these topics through an attractive and modern technology prism.
Interested participants will be free to use posters for education to broaden their horizons, and youth workers will be able to train young people more intelligently using augmented reality posters that will create positive change not only for young people but also for the environment.
