Erasmus + training seminar “You(th)r Culture” lasted for a week from the 2nd of November till 9th of November 2019. There participated 41 people from 10 European Union countries: Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Croatia, Italy. The main topic of these courses was “Explore how cultural diversity can be used as a positive and powerful tool involving young people in mobility.”
As a participant, I am really glad that I took part in these courses. Firstly, communicating with people from different cultures made me more tolerant. This colourful circle of people opened my eyes to society and understanding, how much different cultures there was and at the same time how similar we act.
All tasks ant their methods from training led to the goal, we analyzed stereotypes and prejudices, understood our cultural differences, roots and similarities, visited open youth centre, checked out some documents form EU. All these things cooperated every participant to search common decisions and focused on future works.
These courses result – created 4 different workshops, that every, who works with young people, can use it. These workshops are posted in You(th)r Culture Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/youthrculture.
These courses cultivated my cultural awareness and showed me that different type of people can easily work together and make beautiful, interesting and useful decisions.
After these courses, me and Innovation Office created a small event, where we used new techniques and knowledge gained from training to move forward and promote young people to be more tolerant and open for prevailing problems. The main thing is don’t stop and take care of small actions, because even small steps can lead the community to the right decisions and these decisions can help to spread harmony through the world.
