Participating in erasmus+ project in Poronin was more valuable than I could imagine. While my friends were working, searching for a job, I decided that this time I want to try something different and at this point in my life it is time for me “to go out of my comfort zone”. These words are really popular nowadays and sometimes they lose their real value, but in this project I learned even more how it is important to find yourself in a different place with a lot of opportunities.
Every day at this project was filled with different activities. Those activities helped us to improve creativity, to learn at least a little bit more about our countries, about Europe and each other. If someone is worried about not getting enough free time, I can say that there is nothing to worry about, we had enough free time to rest, to get to know each other. Those, who are active and want to spend every minute productively, have a chance in their free time explore the city once more or to climb a mountain. One of the main reasons, why I decided to go to Poronin, was a desire to see Tatra mountains and I won’t lie – it was 100% worth it. When I saw a lake surrounded by mountains I thought that this view is spectacular, especially when I am from very beautiful small country, without mountains. Just one thing – it is really important to take a big bottle of water and to get enough rest before this trip, especially to those, who are determined to climb more than it is planned and to see more than it is necessary. When I first heard about organising national evenings for each country I felt a little bit scared because I didn’t know what to expect and how it should look like. But it turned out to be the most amazing thing in this project, at least for me!
Personally I love my country and this opportunity to tell something about it, to show our national dance, to prepare national food and to present our country in the way we want gave me a really nice feeling. Of course, not less interesting thing about those evenings was opportunity to learn new things about participating countries, to taste the good that they brought. The other thing that I loved about this project is that in some kind of ways it is a life school. I learned here to be more opened-minded, I believe it is really important. Also we can learn more not just about others, but about ourselves most importantly. The truth is, that relationships with other people teach us many things about our true selves. And getting to know many different people for more than a week really teaches a lot. All in all, I am happy that I made this choice to be in this project. It was different than I expected, but full of experiences, deep and interesting talks.
